The 54 year old, who is married to former model/singer Carla Bruni, was kept under the observation by medics at the Val-de-Grace military hospital in Paris after he fell ill during his daily run in the park of Versailles Palace

He was subsequently released on Monday (27Jul09), with a representative blaming the heat and being overworked for his condition

Sarkozy underwent routine heart and blood tests during his hospital stay. He previously battled heart condition angina in 2007.
