The residents of the North Carolina town in which Dirty Dancing was filmed are planning a memorial service forPatrick Swayze

Swayze -- who died Monday of pancreatic cancer at age 57 -- was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as bad boy Johnny Castle in the 1987 dance drama.

On Saturday, the town of Lake Lure will remember the his life with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Firefly Cove -- the housing development that served as Camp Chimney in Dirty Dancing. ( ...read more )
